"MEIR KIN" THE UNDENIABLE TRUTH

Gershon Bess , Avrohom Union, Nochum Sauer, Herschel Schachter, and Jeremy Stern from ORA (getora.com) have already been condemned by a Bais Din in Monsey Ny for their outright lies,and slander(see blogs below). It appears that every time Meir Kin produces new evidence to back up his claims, they generate a new letter from “the chief Rabbinate in Israel” or from someone else,denouncing his Bais Din in Monsey Ny. The above liars are experts in the science of deceit as they so cleverly avoid the essence of this case in an attempt to sidewind and divert attention away from the real facts of this case. So lets begin to outline once again the facts of this case which will stand on their own merit.
1) Lonna Kin has from the getgo litigated in the civil courts and refused to go to Bais Din. There is no dispute from any reputable Haredi leader , that pursuing litigation in the civil courts is a terrible sin and those rabbis that assist such women have been brandished as evil and wicked. Additionally many great Rabbis like Rabbi Shternbuch consider such a woman a "MOREDES" and allow the man to remarry See:

3)Lonna Kin voluntarily dismissed her NY Supreme Court Divorce petition after litigating Meir for 2 years and wasting over $100,000 of his monies to pay his attorneys. She did this after the judge ordered her to submit computers to Meir’s forensic examiner. She feared that the evidence will make her lose custody of their son. Therefore the delay of her civil Divorce and the GET was her own doing and she was conducting “forum shopping”.
4)Meir Kin has offered her 4 Bais Dins to attend and she refused all of them. Ironically, the first Bais Din “Even Hamishpot” from Rabbi Gobioff, has not been criticized by any of the above , yet what was her excuse for not attending to this Bais Din? The other Bais Dins were Kedushas levi, Shaar Hamishpot, and Rabbi Teichmans Bais Din in LA, which Avrohom Union nixed.
5)Meir deposited a kosher Get on March 2008 but Lonna and her cohorts are coming up with all sorts of excuses that the GET is not kosher. Rabbi Gestetner , one of the dayanim that presided over the GET had issued a letter confirming the legitimacy of the Get, but the above scoundrels continue to mock his words despite being a big talmid Chochom who published many works and has the endorsements of many great Rabbis . NOW LETS BEGIN TO SHOW THE INCONSISTENCIES OF GERSHON BESS, AVROHOM UNION, NOCHUM SAUER, HERSCHEL SCHACHTER AND JEREMY STERN.
1) Why have they not issued any criticism against lonna kin for choosing to arbitrate in the civil courts, and her failure to exit from the civil courts after seeing the above letters that make it clear the prohibition of being in the civil courts?
2) Why have they not required of her to remove the GAG order so that he can speak freely in front of a Bais Din?
3) Why was it necessary to issue a new Seiruv against Meir Kin instead of reissuing the original RCC Seiruv? What was the purpose of getting Herschel Schachter from Ny to sign an LA seiruv? Why did Gershon Bess, who was involved in the case not sign the Seiruv, but instead had his buddies do it? Why were there no hazmonos (summons) sent to Meir Kin prior to the issuance of this new fraudulent Seiruv? This makes this new Seiruv so blatantly corruptive!
4) Why does the RCC act inconsistently in matters of Divorce. According to a 2006 Jewish Journal Article, Avrohom Union from the RCC supposedly took sides with Rabbi Hagai Batzri in allowing him to remarry without requiring him to offer his former wife a GET. He in fact issued him a letter giving him permission under jewish law to remarry and exempting him the requirement to deposit or issue a Get to his wife. Yet with Meir Kin, who had already demonstrated his sincerity and good faith by depositing a Get at his Bais Din, has been the victim of undue harsh criticism and harassment by the above individuals. 5) The RCC itself is regarded as a corrupted Bais Din that does not follow Rabbinic protocol as well as civil protocol in calling itself an arbitration panel as evidenced by criticism from the courts in one case with Nochum Sauer and in the other case with Gershon Bess, who presided on a Bais Din case involving his own son Mark Bess. 6) Jeremy Stern from ORA has felt so proud of himself that he produced 2 letters from the office of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel .it appears so laughable that none of these letters contain the signatures of the chief rabbis themselves but instead contain the signatures of their secretaries or other assistants. Secondly, these letters don’t offer any proof that Rabbi Gestetner or Rabbi Abraham are incompetent or have done anything to invalidate their Gittin. Therefore Jeremy, these letters are nothing but “hot air” that you are trying to blow on the community to impress your moot point. Additionally to obtain a letter today using bribes is as easy as eating applepie. You also produced a letter from Yechiel Tauber after the Seiruv was issued against Gershon Bess . Why was this letter against Rabbi Abraham produced now? This letter states that Rabbi Abraham is senile. Does this mean that before his senility his Gittin were kosher? What about Rav Elyashiv and Rabbi Wosner from Israel who are approaching 100 years old, are we to consider them senile and their rulings invalid?

7)Why does Herschel Schachter, Gershon Bess, Avrohom Union, Nochum Sauer, Jeremy Stern from ORA, defame and harrass Meir Kin directly and not his Bais Din? He is just following what his Rabbis are advising him! Doesn't every person have a right to choose his own Rabbi?

8) Nobody has shown any proof why the Get that Meir Kin had written on behalf of Lonna kin is not kosher. Additionally nobody has proven why the two Bais Dins in Monsey are not acceptable as a valid Bais Din. Instead you only hear the rhetoric of “nobody regards them as acceptable”. According to Torah law this is not the way you disqualify another Bais Din. No letters issued by anybody can invalidate another person or Bais Din when not substantiated with solid proof. You must show some sort of evidence to qualify your claims! Interestingly, there were multitudes who opposed Dovid Hamelech citing that he was unfit because he emanated from a Moavite, The Rambam and the Rabbi Moshe Chaim luzzato(Ramchal), because their works were regarded as heresy, and Pinchos who killed Zimri because he was a young lad who dared to oppose a chief of a tribe namely Zimri. Yet after time has passed all these great historical giants of Torah were revealed as “true giants of Torah” that deserve respect and honor. We are equally sure that time will show that Rabbi Abraham from Kedushas Levi and Rabbi Gestetner from Shaar Hamishpot who both do not take monies for a Din Torah are being opposed by “the multitudes” only because of their staunch stance for the emes in Din despite the common tendencies to pander to the feminist movement, and their refusal to take bribes , which has worried the other Bais Dins in America that they might lose potential business, as men who seek true Din in Divorce matters will arbitrate in their monsey Bais Dins.

Thererfore it appears quite clearly that the Meir kin/Lonna Kin divorce debacle is nothing more than the playing out of a political drama. The RCC was either bribed or owes a favor to Herschel Schachter from YU. Conversely, Herschel Schachter and ORA his Aguna campaign machine, are always looking for a good poster child to advertise their cause. Perhaps alternatively, they are opposing Meir Kin for the simple reason that he chose a Bais Din that is their competitor and will do anything to wipe out the competitor! Seiruv issued against Gershon Bess

A Seiruv has been officially issued against Gershon Bess for his refusal to appear in front of the Bais Din kedushas Levi in Monsey, Ny. Additionally The Seiruv asks the public to distance themselves from Gershon Bess as he is listed as a sinner, and those that assist him will be absorbed with his sins. In the second letter (upper left), the Bais Din gives testimony to details of the horrific persecution that Meir Kin underwent in the hands of "bribed" rabbis. These include acts of harrassment, intimidations, causing disturbances at his daughters wedding,organizing rallies by his parents home and place of employment. Lonna Kin has informed this Bais Din that she refuses to appear by the advice of her rabbis. Meir kin has arranged a GET at this Bais din and has agreed to arbitrate his matters overhere. This Bais Din distinguishes itself as not charging fees for sending hazmonos or for accepting bribes. Recently, there was a major debate amongst the Orthodox Rabbis regarding fish containing worms, particularly the anisakis worm. The majority of American Rabbis including the OU permitted the fish for consumption as cited by Shulchan Oruch. They have strayed so far from the Torah values for personal gratification as well as pandering to the jewish feminist causes, to the point that it threatens the credibility of the Jewish court system, questions the legitimacy of Rabbinic Orthodox leadership, and places our very lineage in jeopardy as you will soon see. 1) First and foremost they promote the sin of litigating Jewish matters in the Civil Courts. 2) Often times a woman doesnt stop here, but proceeds to harass her husband endlessly by falsly obtaining "Orders of Protection" and having their husbands jailed. These tactics are advised to them by rabbis and their lawyers. This sin constitutes "MESIRA", which by itself is a grave sin in the Torah. Interestingly, in the famous case of the "MOSER" Robert Kasirer, the rabbis did denounce him and distanced themselves from him. This begs the question: "why are the rabbis applying a double -standard?" In Halacha, a MOSER is a MOSER and no cases should be tolerated! Yet we see that women who have their husbands jailed are once again being assisted by the rabbis to extricate coercive Gittin from their husbands? Why are the rabbis assisting "Baalei Aveira"? In the video he illustrates the prohibition of Mesira and how it can only apply to serious offenders that need to be incarcarated. Yet, in reality he spearheads an organization called "ORA"

4) They will denounce his choice of Bais Din as "unacceptable to them" for various reasons, but will not offer substantive evidence why his choice of Rabbi or Bais Din is invalid. These statements are Loshon Hora , Motzi shem Ra on innocent Rabbis and their Bais Dins. This is supposedly their way to "eliminate the competition". Once again see blog below how Rabbi Moshe Green from Monsey, Ny has done this for a "bribe" from one of his Yeshiva supporters.
5) The rabbis who operate the corrupted Bais Dins refuse to apply the dictum of "BAME DANTONI" which essentially denies due process. This process of "BAME DANTONI" allows the litigants to verify if authentic Jewish principles and law were applied and not just whim, ignorance, or adherence to a value system outside of the Torah. The transparency afforded by this provision holds rabbis accountable, which is precisely what the rabbis are trying to avoid.
6) They often refuse to substantiate their rulings and will not even offer any halachic sources to back-up their decisions. This can be seen with the recent RCC(Rabbinical council of california) debacle where they publicly announced that certain fish cannot be consumed due to worm infestations but did not cite any Halachic sources to back them. Instead, they referenced, "We did extensive research", but did not state what the research was. Many rabbis in LA instructed their congregants to ignore their ruling as it was unsubstantiated in Halacha.
7) The rabbis use seiruvim as a way to publicly humiliate men who dont subject themselves to their arbitration panel, even though as a "Nitva"(respondent) he has a right to choose his own Bais Din. 8) They make you sign a "Shtar Beirurin" which halachacally is not required, but do so to enforce their corruptive rulings in a civil court.
9) Once they issue a false Seiruv, they use the seiruv as a "springboard" to harass family members in the hopes that the family would pressure the litigant. Once again there is no basis in Halacha to embarrass and cause financial loss to third parties.

It is as if she can litigate him in the Civil Courts, take all his children , monies etc.. and yet brazenly demand a GET with no due process in a Bais Din. There are halachacally accepted remedies which are being skirted for mere convenience or for financial gain. This website was created to alert the public of the chronic infestation of Rabbinic corruption in the 21st Century. In the last 20-30 years , the Orthodox Jewish world saw a dramatic rise in the Divorce rate, and with it came the potential for great profit. Typically, when a couple wants a GET, they must spend about $1000 to obtain one. This does not include the fees paid to the Judges who preside on the Bais Din, nor does it include what you pay to your Toein (Rabbinic lawyer), which can typically run as high as a paying a Civil Attorney. Unfortunately, the money hunger has "blinded" many Rabbis to conduct themselves in a manner opposite the spirit of the Torah Law and in many cases commit sins against the Torah in their quest for this lucrative business. This problem has gotten so out of control that a group of individuals have organized this site for public awareness to help protest and warn their loved ones from falling prey to these corrupted rabbis. Let us begin with: 1) "the spirit of the law". The Talmud states that the Mizbeach (altar) would "cry" when a family unit is broken. Family unity is vital in Jewish Life, yet we don’t see enough attempts for reconciliation being made by these "rabbis" who supposedly arrange for the GET. Why do they hasten to break up families? 2)The Talmud emphasized that the laws of Divorce (Gittin) are more stringent than the laws of marriage (Kiddushin). Yet we see droves of rabbis just tossing away the basic laws of the Torah as if it belonged to them and could do as they wish. The violations committed are a) assisting women to enter the Civil Courts to litigate their husbands. This is being done even when the husband agrees to come to Bais Din, but requests to go to his Bais Din as a defendant is allowed in Halocho. This sin constitutes "mesira" which is from the gravest of all sins, aside from violating the Torah’s mandate that all litigation be done in front of Torah observant Judges. B) coercing the man to issue a GET (which is not allowed in most circumstances), thru methods of public humiliation, intimidation, harassment and the issuance of a false and pretentious "Seiruv". Once this false seiruv is issued, they use this as a springboard to advertise his name on websites such as http://www.getora.com/
Additionally his name might appear in the Jewish Press and other publications. These are all tactics to coerce the man to give a GET. C) The final outcome in many cases are a Get procured thru coercion which is invalid and ANY WOMAN REMARRYING WITH SUCH A GET, IS IN VIOLATION OF ADULTERY AND HER CHILDREN ARE MAMZEIRIM! Unfortunately, many innocent women blindly follow their rabbis advice, (after paying them large sums of monies) thinking that they have a "clean road ahead" of them for remarrying, as well as the continuance of their "pristine yichus" (geneology). This false sense of security comes back later to haunt them when they try to make shidduchim for their children and grandchildren, only to find out that someone had checked into their "Divorce Circumstances" and had his/her Rabbi advise against such a Shidduch, considering that prospect a Mamzer or even worse, a "questionable Mamzer".
These corruptive rabbinic ruling not only bring about multiple sins, but also set up the groundwork to dismantle the traditional reknowned sanctity of our Geneology which in many familes have remained pristine dating back to King David. This matter is so grave that even amongst the Orthodox "frum from birth" homes ,one must be prudent in investigating any family that underwent Divorce to assure that the Get was procured willingly by the husband. Another bit of sad news to report to you, is that we cannot recommend any Rabbis whom you can discuss this issue with, because of the rampant plague of Rabbinic corruption of epidemic proportions. This means that a Rabbi today is either corrupt or silent. The silent one is afraid to speak the truth lest he offend the corrupted one and suffer the consequences. What we find most interesting is that the corrupted rabbis do things stealthfully,away from the public eye and never back up their rulings publicly and without citing halachic sources to their rulings!!!! The contrast to them are the few remainding authentic rabbis that will issue letters protesting their actions and quote halachic sources. In fact we have removed the title rabbi and replaced it with "Talmudic Professor" which befits him better. You see my fellow jewish brethren, an Orthodox Rabbi does not reform the Torah as it was given to us in Sinai. Orthodox Jewry believes in only 1 Torah and it cannot be reformed no matter how much pressure you are under from different political groups! Herschel the Schlechter wants to reform orthodoxy to allow for "all cases to be coercible". This is why he supports women going to the Civil Courts which is another grave sin in the torah!!! He has no problem with women jailing their husbands even after a Get was delivered, because he might owe her some child support!! Rabbi Moshe Green violates Rabeinu Tam Cheirem

Rabbi Green from Monsey, Ny has joined the ranks of corrupt rabbis in the U.S.A. Even when it comes to meat supervision, such halachic decisions are arrived at by a rabbinic supervisor supervising the meat plant and the shochet, and not by random reflexive decisions. However in this case it is an apparent corrupt decision by moshe green made thru indirect bribes as it was well known that a supporter of his yeshiva Mr Oberlander had contributed large sums of monies to his Yeshive via "journal ads" just prior to the issuance of the above referenced letter.

Apparently Mr Oberlanders daughter was undergoing a nasty divorce with Mr Rappaport who had deposited a GET at a particular Bais Din and wanted to make herself appear like an "aguna" by having moshe green state that the get is invalid. You ask what is there to gain by falsely claiming to be an aguna? The answer is that New York State has a GET law that will punish a husband who refuses to give a GET, by granting ALL MARITAL ASSETS to the wife,and Mr Rappaport had "lots of assets". The 2 other proofs that implicate his corruption are A) a Rabbi who renders a halachic decision, does so in a letter written in hebrew and not in English, as seen by the other letter written by rabbi Gestetner. When will these tzoros stop and what will it take from us! Kehilas Yaakov has been singled out to be dealt blow after blow of young, ehrlich individuals passing away in an untimely manner. Why has this trend been continuing despite our Tehillim groups etc.? Has Rabbi Bess offered you a concrete and reasonable explanation to why Kehilas Yaakov has been singled out? Of course not! All that he suggested was Tehillim, Tehillim , and more Tehillim! Tehillim is nothing to laugh about, but still just a "bandaid" in solving the real problem. Did you ever see in TENACH that Tehillim stopped plagues? What stopped the plagues was concrete steps taken by Bnei Yisroel in stopping certain "trends of sin" such as Sinas Chinom or Avoida zoro etc…
Many of you might of forgotten the last letter we sent on 5th Av 5769(7/26/2009) right after the Petira of another great member of Kehilas Yaakov, Dr Joel Schwartz ZT"L. You can refer to this letter below which was also posted on 7/2009.
It is obvious that these unusual happenings are some sort of message that Hashem is directing towards Kehilas Yaakov, and up to us to wake up, analyze and initiate change.

It brings us great pain and sorrow to have to write this letter on a day where this shul has seen its fifth young victim to pass away in 1 year. Our sages taught us not to believe in coincidence, but rather that everything is from Heaven. How many more “Korbonos “ must we sacrifice till we awaken from our slumber!!! While other shuls are burying their octogenarian members, we are burying our young members?! What is it about Kehilas Yaakov that Hashem is singling us out? We have shiurim B’H, We have tehillim groups B’H, We are considered Baalei Batim who are Kovea Itim B’H, and we’re known as a shul whose members don’t talk during davening! So we ask , what then is Hashem seeking from us??? We have heard countless droshos about doing teshuva etc… but Raboisai we all missed the boat! Apparently our rov has failed to bring up a Gemoro that explains it all! Please open up a Gemoro Shabbos daf 139 and read it carefully! Here is the English version: (a) (Beraisa - R. Yosi bar Elisha): If you see many afflictions coming on the generation, check the judges - every punishment that comes to the world is on account of judges of Yisrael . etc…(b) Hashem will not rest His Shechinah on Yisrael until evil judges and enforcers cease. This is because evil Rabbis who are taking the role as judges in a Bais –Din, and render corrupt rulings, are causing innocent people to be shamed in public, suffer great financial loss, and mar their reputations. In the story of Kamtza, bar-Kamtza, our sages tell us that the humiliation of a “lowly jew” coupled with the utter silence of the Rabbonim present who did not protest this public humiliation of their fellow jew, brought out the fury of Hashems wrath (Chas Vesholom) and we lost our Bais Hamikdosh. Rabbi Bess and others don’t mention this Gemoro because it pertains to them!!! Lets not kid ourselves! We must face the truth now before our final Yom Hadin!!!
Rabbi Bess and the RCC have hurt many people in this town with their corruptive logic and corruptive decisions. Do we need to list examples of whom they destroyed their reputation in Hashgocho matters, like Rabbi Bukspan who suffered great financial loss because of false rumors ! A Special Report on the Organization for the Resolution of Agunot

In 2007,an outrage was committed where a respected TALMID CHACHAM was viciously and publicly insulted and defamed. As reported in the Jewish Press on Nov. 9, 2007, with the headline "Rabbinic Rally Against Alleged Get Abuse", a protest against a Brooklyn rabbi who is a respected TALMID CHACHAM was called by Rabbi Hershel Schachter of Yeshiva University and the Organization for the Resolution of Agunot (ORA).

Attending the rally were several rabbinic advisors and supporters of ORA including Rabbi Hershel Schachter, Rabbi Kenneth Auman of the Young Israel of Flatbush, and Rabbi Hershel Billet of the Young Israel of Woodmere.

Torah law considers public humiliation to be akin to murder. Numerous witnesses at the Nov. 9 protest observed the respected TALMID CHACHAM being maligned with falsehood and attacked SHEH LO K'DERECH HATORAH by the vicious ORA protesters.

"He who publicly shames his neighbor ... though he may have Torah and good deeds, has no share in the world to come." (Pirkei Avos 3:11).

In early November 2007 a letter allegedly signed by Rabbi Hershel Schachter appeared on the website of the RCA rabbinic organization. Another letter, allegedly signed by Rabbi Hershel Schachter, appeared in late November 2007 on the RCA website. Both letters contained brazen SHEKER and MOTSI SHEM RAH against the rabbi and TALMID CHACHAM who is being targeted by Schachter and his feminist hench(wo)men.

In truth the rabbi and TALMID CHACHAM being targeted by ORA is one of the few remaining authentic rabbinic experts in GITTIN (Jewish divorce matters), and CHOSHEN MISHPAT. The said TALMID CHACHAM makes diligent and ethical efforts to resolve all divorce disputes AL PI HALACHA. ORA's true agenda is apparently to suppress and silence the few remaining rabbinic authorities who strictly adhere to authentic Torah law and values in Jewish divorce matters.

The protest mentioned above was shameful and disappointing and demonstrates how far some have traveled from the truth. It also demonstrates the tremendous feminization in many areas of of the Bais Din process and the process of obtaining a GET, and it exposes the Torah violations of those using ARCHAOS (non-Jewish courts), and those who are enabling them, two terrible transgressions. Rabbi herschel Schachter, Rabbi Green from Monsey and some other wicked rabbis are now campaigning against Rabbi Abraham and Rabbi Gestetner, both outstanding rabbis who follow the Torah principles as were given in Sinai, and once again are spreading false rumors about them.

ORA utilizes public demonstrations and other forms of pressure to coerce Jewish husbands to grant GITTIN to their wives. For some time many EHRLICH YIDDEN have been shocked and outraged at the wild, unscrupulous, and anti-HALACHIC tactics of ORA. At the protest against the TALMID CHACHAM, while a severely handicapped Jewish man was being assisted to enter the TALMID CHACHAM's home, the vicious ORA protesters shouted "FAKER" at the handicapped man. The Shulchan Aruch (Code of Jewish Law) in Evan HaEzer considers such cruelty to be a sign of non-Jewish ancestry !!!

Josh Ross (a YU student in his 20's), Jeremy Stern and the ORA organization have inflicted unjustified abuse and harassment against a number of decent Jewish men who are dealing with marriage or divorce issues, but who are in compliance with HALACHA. It is truely outrageous that Rabbi Hershel Schachter, a person considered a Torah scholar in the "Modern Orthodox" world, would be involved in a protest disgracing and defaming a respected TALMUD CHACHAM. On a number of occasions various activists have informed Rabbi Schachter that Josh Ross and Jeremy Stern were involved in activities SH'LO K'HALACHA and SH'LO K'YASHRUSH. No apparent action was taken to correct their behavior.

Now we see the same kind of reckless irresponsibility, where false statements are being made that a respected TALMUD CHACHAM (the target of the protest) is allegedly issuing HETER MEAH RABBANIM. Upon careful investigation, we were unable to determine the name of even one man who had obtained a HETER MEAH RABBANIM from the TALMUD CHACHAM who was targeted by the protest! Fraudulent Seruvim Against Decent Men

A valid SERUV under Jewish law is a document issued by a reputable and KOSHER rabbinic court indicating that a Jew has been found in violation of a rabbinic court order. Bogus and fraudulent SERUVIM are being wielded on a more frequent basis to justify the vicious harassment and abuse of various decent Jewish men. An unsuspecting Jewish public is not aware of the extent of the invalid SERUV abuses. The Jewish Press and the ORA organization have eagerly publicized a number of these so-called SERUVIM in an attempt to create an appearance of halachic legitimacy to their coercion and abuse against Jewish husbands.

In the Justice Denied section of this site, a number of these PASUL (fraudulent) SERUVIM have been exposed. Bogus SERUVIM may be invalid for a number of reasons. For example, a PASUL SERUV may lack the name, address, and phone number of a real Bais Din, or else a SERUV may be PASUL because the defendant was willing to appear before another Bais Din (not the one he was summoned to), or else a SERUV may be PASUL because the plaintiff in Bais Din was litigating in a non-Jewish court while attempting to use a Bais Din only to obtain a GET.

Numerous Jewish women have had valid and KOSHER SERUVIM issued against them after they had utilized non-Jewish courts against their husbands in violation of HALACHA. Yet it appears that neither the Jewish Press, nor the ORA organization, nor any of the "Modern Orthodox" pro-feminist organizations have EVER published the names of any of the numerous women who have had valid SERUVIM issued against them!!!

Using these kinds of "tactics" of publishing bogus SEIRUVIM (against men only) in the Jewish Press and on the ORA website is another example of unscrupulousness that makes people question the authenticity of various "players" in the BAIS DIN system today. In fact according to HALACHA the persons responsible for these tactics deserve CHEREM, not their victims.

"For 24 actions we ostracize a person ... (1) One who disgraces a Talmid Chacham ... (24) Those who ostracize one who has not incurred ostracizing ..." (Shulchan Aruch (Code of Jewish Law), Yoreh Deah 334:43).

OZER L'MOSRIM

In many cases women being assisted by ORA and the Jewish Press are utilizing non-Jewish courts in violation of HALACHA. Many of these women are or have engaged in MESIRAH against their husbands, one of the most serious AVEIROS in HALACHA, for which a Jew loses their OLAM HABAAH. Thus ORA and its rabbis and activists are protesting to champion the cases of certain women demanding GITTIN, even though these women may have the status of MOSRIM, and even though they are not conducting proper halachic BAIS DIN processes. These women and their supporters seem to figure - Why bother to appear before a BAIS DIN if we can obtain a bogus SEIRUV and scream AGUNAH?

There is certainly an increasing number of Jewish women attempting to dance at two CHASUNAS at the same time - by litigating in secular courts to get a better deal (K'NEGED HALACHA) and then attempting to utilize BAIS DIN only to obtain their GET afterwards. This unfortunately has been allowed in too many cases by spineless BATEI DIN who either due to profit motives or feminist influences take a very benign docile attitude in insisting that these women immediately withdraw from secular courts, stop the terrible transgression of MESIRAH, and cease throwing their husbands in jail with phony orders of protection. This whole system has caused various RABBANIM ranging from R. J.K. Bleich in America and New York to GADOLIM in Eretz Yisrael to question the validity of many GITTIN that are "coerced" in NY.

Coerced and PASUL GITTIN

No Jewish man is required to give his wife a GET just because the ORA feminists "paskened" that he is required to do so!

The fact of the matter is that one does not have to be a significant Torah scholar, (perhaps now with the feminist influences one does have to be a significant scholar) to know that just because a woman demands a GET, she is NOT entitled to break up her family and obtain a GET. This can only be decided in an authentic BAIS DIN setting that adjudicates the entire issue and rules that the husband is CHAYAV L'GARESHA (that the husband is required to divorce her). Anything less that such a ruling does not obligate a man to give a GET. EHRLICHE RABBANIM will say that its extremely important, lacking that PSAK, not to coerce the husband financially or socially, or to coerce him to give a GET as this will call into question the entire validity of the GET.

All disputes between a husband and wife must be resolved according to HALACHA before a GET procedure is performed. Both husband and wife are prohibited from making any new claims against each other after a GET is provided in a Bais Din, and all the more so in civil courts. The Ramo in Evan HaEzer, Seder HaGet, paragraph 81, clearly proscribes this, and Rav Moshe Feinstein Z"TL says that for many centuries no GET is given until all fiscal and other matters are settled. A woman who litigates in civil court after she receives her GET may very well invalidate the GET.

The activities of the ORA organization, and certain other "AGUNAH" organizations are resulting in coerced and PASUL GITTIN, along with grave injustices against various Jewish men and their families. There have been numerous reports of various Jewish men being harassed and abused by ORA. These are cases of decent men who are NOT obligated under HALACHA to give their wives a GET.

At times the infirm and elderly relatives of certain men have allegedly been subjected to abusive protests by ORA. There have also been reports that ORA has allegedly contacted the employers of some Jewish men in order to pressure the men into giving GITTIN to their wives - see the NY State police report reproduced at the end of this article.

Until recently, on the home page of ORA's web site http://www.getora.com/, it stated that "An agunah is a woman whose husband refuses to grant her a Jewish divorce upon request." By this statement ORA revealed its true anti-TORAH, anti-family agenda. There appears to be no halachic source which can validate this fantastic claim. We consulted with a number of highly learned, senior rabbis, who specialize in Jewish divorce law. None of the rabbis we consulted were able to cite any source for ORA's definition of an "agunah" in any Jewish law texts. At least one learned rabbi this writer spoke with characterized ORA's definition of an "agunah" as being apikorsos.

The "Reformadox" Movements

ORA and other "agunah" organizations attempt to portray themselves as operating within the parameters of HALACHA, but they are clearly violating some of the most serious Torah prohibitions.

ORA could be characterized as a "Reformadox" movement - a movement which pretends to be adhering to Orthodox Jewish law by publicly practicing Jewish rituals like Shabbos and Kashrus, while privately promoting an anti-Torah, anti-male, new age feminist ideology.

As stated in the "Bitul Seruv" letter (in the Justice Denied - LA page of this site):

"... the "ORA" group - shamefully known for their disgraceful actions against the Torah - under the auspices of Josh Ross ( Yehoshua Ross AKA Yehoshua Zev), to whom many False and invalid GITTIN could be credited - which is causing the sin of ESHES EISH and ARAYOS to be allowed, as well as MAMZERIM B'MACHANEINU, [a Get obtained through such practices should be deemed highly questionable and most likely invalid PASUL, it makes one wonder why she would want a GET at all as required by the Torah, since they are violating many other severe laws of the Torah anyway!]

They (ORA) are following the crooked way of the Reform movement, as if in every conflict between husband and wife - the wife has to have the upper hand - to be able to force him to give a GET while depriving him of his rights, as well as in every detail of the conflict she has to have it all according to her wishes. And a husband who is willing to give his wife a GET, but insists on his basic human and halachic rights, is immediately being overwhelmed and publicized falsely as a (disobedient person) and is being shamed, humiliated and embarrassed as though he is a SARBAN (chaining) his wife, while quite the contrary, whereby the wife would only want a GET in a way that deprives her husband of his rights, it is only the wife that is chaining herself rather than the husband chaining her."

Several questions beg themselves: Why has Rabbi Schachter not spoken out about the numerous women using non-Jewish courts and committing MESIRAH, while being assisted by ORA? Is Rabbi Schachter in favor of forcing husbands to give GITTIN while their wives are in court and jailing their husbands? Can Rabbi Schachter's "Modern Orthodoxy" be considered authentic Torah Judaism or is it in reality a type of Reform in disguise?

A COURSE FOR THE ORTHODOX JEWISH COMMUNITY

We believe Torah law forbids assisting or participating in protests against decent, HALACHA observing rabbis and men unless and until a kosher, HALACHA observant, non-corrupt, non-feminist, and non-politicized Bais Din authorized such a protest.

No Jew who observes the Torah should support or assist in any way any persons or organizations which promote any violations of HALACHA, and especially severe violations of HALACHA.

We believe HALACHA requires that the Orthodox Jewish Community refrain from supporting or assisting ORA in any way, and HALACHA also requires Jews to refrain from supporting or assisting any other such organizations involved in coercing GITTIN, assisting MOSRIM, and publicly shaming KOSHER Rabbis and Jews.
